THE DREAM BEGAN OVER 50 YEARS AGO WHEN KEVIN STARTED MODIFYING BAITS AND SELLING RED WIGGLERS TO LOCAL BAITSHOPS IN SOUTHERN ILLINOIS AS KID.

Kevin and Jeanie Dascotte started DJK Outdoors with a shared passion for the outdoors. They have been married for over 25 years, sharing 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 1 English Crème Golden Retriever Gracie. The family has lived most of there life in the Midwest (St. Louis Missouri Region) but has called the Richmond Virginia Area home for the last 8 years.
Jeanie worked over 20 years in the Healthcare Industry for several major metropolitan hospitals in data-analytics. Jeanie has taken an early retirement from the Healthcare Industry to launch the DJK business and obtain pastoral ordination.
Kevin has worked as an Engineer and Executive for over 30 years for major international corporations such as Emerson, Ingersoll-Rand and Weidmuller. Kevin also fishes MLF events (BFL/Toyota Series) and local Fishers of Men events.

2/2023 - First Custom Lure Created
Our adventure began with a simple idea: create unique lures that enhance the fishing experience. The first custom design sparked excitement among anglers. We embraced a faithful bait known as the ZOOM BABY BRUSH HOG, enhanced it with some unique color, texture and sounds.
02/2026- Community Fishing Events
We hosted our first community fishing tournament, bringing together enthusiasts and families. Memories made and friendships forged.
1/2026 - Launch of New Lure Line
Our latest lure collection was unveiled, providing anglers with even more options to catch their favorites in style.
